Queensland Transport Safety Certificates / Roadworthy Certificate can only be issued by examiners who have been accredited by Queensland Transport.

For private motorbike sellers, Queensland Transport Safety Certificates / Roadworthy Certificates are valid for two months or 2000 kilometers, whichever comes first. For a dealer, the time frame is 1000 kilometers or 3 months, whichever comes first.

When selling a motorbike, you are required to display a Safety Certificate / Roadworthy Certificate in a conspicuous place and for motorcycles it’s either on the forks or front guard.
